oranges.

These trees remind me of Florida. We went to Destin one time for Easter to stay with some old people that used to go to my church. I don’t really remember the trip. Just my easter basket on the chair that morning, oh, and my sister got sick on the car ride home. We had to pull over.

Their fruit, though, reminds me of so much more. Nourishment, sweetness, tart, juicy, sticky, summer, bare feet in grass.

The tree and the fruit together remind me of many parables. Parables of bearing fruit. How much fruit we bear. I need to farm more. It’s time to plant.
